A quest to roast the best artisan coffee in world,
while providing clean water to those in need.

Our mission starts with our name – ‘Libra’ – meaning ‘unit of weight or balance.’ We believe balance means fairness, and that fairness means ensuring each person on our planet has basic human needs met.

In the dry season of coffee producing countries, people must drink from contaminated water sources. These are the same waters where others wash their clothes, take baths and even throw trash. For those downstream, this water is all they have to rely on, and often leads to ecoli poisoning and disease. Ecoli will make national headlines in the U.S. for meat contamination, but it goes unnoticed in poverty-stricken countries.

Libra Coffee gives water filters to the communities we source from, so they don’t have to worry about how to get clean water. For each bag of coffee purchased, $1 goes toward an extra-strength water filter for the locals. Each filter has the power to provide clean drinking water to 100 people for up to 5 years.
